1. Scarecrow Contest– This is the foundation on which the festival is built .  There are over 15o beautiful, handcrafted scarecrows made by all types of people (Cub Scouts, Brownies, preschools, church groups, families, etc.). I believe that people come back every year to view the scarecrows that are constructed by kids, adults, businesses, community groups, and many others–Each with their own vision, style, creative touch, theme, and skill level.  It is truly amazing to see the variety, materials used, and creativity that goes into each creation…Well worth the trip!  You can also vote for the best scarecrows by number…

2. Arts and Crafts Show –If you are looking for something unique for your home or an upcoming Christmas gift, this may be your “cup of tea!”  All sorts of custom items are displayed, different mediums are employed, and you will sure to be delighted as you stroll leisurely down the rows of original offerings…Bring your measuring tape for the perfect picture or “work of art!”

3.  Fall Photo Booth-- Have your picture taken with family or friends in awesome fall backgrounds to make a fabulous memory for everyone!

4.  Pony Rides– $5 pony rides that will be sure to delight all the children and provide a “photo op” for the parents!

5.  Carnival– A must have for any festival.  Enjoy foods, games, prizes, and rides such as the Ferris Wheel or the Tilt-A-Whirl.  There are a ton of rides for little kids too.  Grab your tickets, hop on, and hold on “for your life!”

6.  Great Tastes of St. Charles- -Experience and taste some of the delicious local restaurants as they serve up some of their special cuisine…Great way to sample all varieties, ethnic favors, and delicious treats of all types…

7.  Petting Zoo- -$2 for children over 2.  Another great “photo opportunity” to catch the look of wonder as the children pet the animals and the animals “kiss” the kids.

8.  Make your own Scarecrow– Bring your own clothing (long sleeved shirts and pants) or use the ones provided.  A $3 donation to the boy scouts will allow you to bring the finished product home with you and enjoy for the Fall season.

9. Live Entertainment–Partake in a wonderful Yoga demonstration, a variety show, live music, theater, martial arts demo, dancing, ice cream contest, and many more interesting offerings.

10. Canine Corner– Pet-related businesses and artists, as well as rescue groups and shelters are represented Activities include dog yoga, a dog fashion show, grooming tips, dog costume contest, dog trick demo, doggie Olympics, and my personal favorite “the wiener dog races.”
